Mandee Nicole - Inner Light Botanicals & INNERSCAPES Artist Residency
Mandee Nicole is an artist, writer, nature lover, and dog, cat, and plant mom.
She works with continuous line drawings in her paintings to help us remember the interconnection between everything in nature, bridge separation and belonging, and reflect on our connection to our inner and outer landscapes in order to rediscover our own true nature and develop a reciprocal appreciation for our planet.
You’ll also find a glimmer of gold in each piece as a reminder of hope and optimism.
Mandee is the founder of the INNERSCAPES Artist Residency program for emerging artists who integrate nature into their work and want to explore the inner landscape in creative connection to various landscapes across the world through an Ecotherapy and Nature-Based Expressive Arts lens. She is also the host of the Just Earthly Podcast for the earth- and energy-conscious.
Mandee is an advocate for self-healing and world-healing through nature and aims to share this through her work.

Interview
What inspires your art practice and keeps you motivated?
Nature! Nature informs my work and also acts as a mirror to self and my process.
How does your mission as an artist influence the work you create?
At the root of my work is relationship and interbeing. When we realize we are all interconnected, we bridge separation and belonging. I hope my work can be a reminder of that and bring a little more hope and positivity when we feel alone in this world.
Can you share a key part of your creative process that helps you stay focused?
My morning routine and journaling really help set the foundation for my entire day and help me stay focused. My day quickly becomes chaotic without it. :)
What mindset tip do you rely on to overcome challenges in your art career?
The mantra “little by little” always helps me remember that little steps become big things.
How do you hope your art impacts the world or your community?
I’m an advocate for self- and world-healing through nature and aim to share this through my work.
